Dragon-boating
Had a dragon-boating session with my colleagues on Saturday at Kallang in the name of team-building. I had no idea that the place was actually the same place I kayak-ed with cn5 a year or 2 ago =)
Was late and by the time i arrived, almost everyone were already assigned their boats. So i was naturally assigned to the last boat.. which consisted of a boat of latecomers and it turned out to be a boat of mostly girls as well!! Seems like girls really have a higher tendency to be late.
But because there were not enough people to fill the last boat, we had the best trainers joining us in our boat =) there were also coaches from polytechnic teaching us and they really are so young la..
The whole session was pretty fun. Quite enjoyed learning the technique of rowing the boat. Teamwork is very important as all 20 of us in a boat have to row correctly and at the same pace.. not easy man! In that aspect it's very different from kayaking which requires only cooperation from 2 people in the boat.
At the end of it, my whole body was stretched and was aching; like after some workout haha.. my boat obviously didn't win but it was still fun. =p
A nice dinner and dessert at Geylang pretty much sums up the whole session. The sua ku me never tried the supposedly famous frog-leg porridge in Geylang before and it was quite delicious.
That's about it for my teambuilding session. Back to work on Monday again! Sighz.. sian...
