school and work
My last bit of university life finally occured on 9 July -- Commencement! The actual ceremony was a rather simple affair but the photo-taking session was the one that's truely memorable. My little sister surprised me with a bouquet of flowers despite tricking me into believing that she has no time to make for my commencement the day before. Was very glad to have the company of my whole family and my friends for this event. Seeing the happy faces of all my friends, classmates and acquitances in chemical engineering, i know i will miss my time in NUS no matter how hard the modules were, or how stressful the life had been there =)

As for work... most of you would have known that i've started work early this month in a company in the semiconductor industry. Not exactly related to my course of study and not exactly what i had expected or foreseen myself doing. Nevertheless, i'm still determined to give it a shot having chosen this path. Although sometimes i do wonder if i'm cut out for it, given the fast paced, highly technical, and highly stressful environment it can turn out to be like. And i cannot help wondering what my life would be like if i have persisted on the other path -- design...
So far work life in my company is quite ok. i seem to be the lucky few to have not kenna OT for the past 3 weeks i'm there ( i'm not considering my leaving 30-45 mins after official clock out time everyday as OT). And so far i'm rather pleased with my on-the-job training because i am given opportunities to pick up many essential skills although i'm constantly worried about being not up to mark. i guess the inconfident side of me is becoming prominent again whenever i'm thrown into new and unfamiliar territory... i guess i must learn to believe in myself...again
