my last holidays
Been having a good time slacking away my June holidays.. probably the last holidays i'm having in the coming few years at least. At times, i just want to be a couch potato, read books, surf net and watch tv/vcds at home. Other times i would feel like i'm wasting my time and would want to make the most of my holidays by doing things i might not have time for in future, like shopping in orchard road on weekdays, singing kbox ladies' night, meeting up with friends etc. sigh... my last holidays indeed.
Sometimes i do wonder whether it's worth planning into the future, working hard for the future, or is it better to live each day fully, doing the things we truly enjoy, be it work, spending time with loved ones, doing solitary activities one enjoys. Recent news of drink driving and sudden deaths do make me wonder whether sometimes there's a need to plan, and also to worry about the unknown, unseen and may not even happen future. i suddenly recall how companies love to ask about personal five year plans. do we really need to think so far?
Just some relevations i had these days. That said, i know i should still get some important things done, like start packing my bag for my china trip soon, like forcing myself to finally step into the library to start searching for the reference books my company recommended. Speaking of which, the NUS library is still at our service until the day we graduate! =p when i got my examination results i had thought that the "your library membership ceases with immediate effect" that i saw meant yar.. literally, with immediate effect hehe.. so glad i'm wrong.
Ok.. just had some inspiration and urge to blog. Now i shall go back to my vcds and start being a dilligent girl tomorrow then.. haha.. i promise..
