a cashless experience
this morning, i met yz to embark on our trip to sunshine plaza to print 5 posters in all... when we reached the shop recommended by our department, it was, much to yz's expectations, crowded with about 5-6 chem engin people, some of them from my class too. so, yz and i went searching for another shop that prints an A1 poster at $10.
we found one and after settling all the minute details, the shopowner requested we pay cash. and it was then we realised that we didn't bring enough! =S who would have thought that one can't pay by nets in a printing shop! =( heard that the recommended shop can somemore...
and so we were directed to the "nearest" atm, where we had to cross a road. reached there and the atm can't deliver cash!
and then we went in search of another atm, another 2 roads away. and this time... this atm was spoiled.
i even tried my UOB card at UOB atm.. and to our disappointment, i didn't have at least $20 inside

that was when i suddenly remembered seeing my classmates at the recommended shop! but alas.. when i called them they were already in school preparing for the yakult trip *sweat*
luckily the nice bosses allowed us to pay a deposit of $30 and the rest we promised to pay when we collect the posters.. i think we looked credible enough ah.. heh
the funny episode was when we realized that having paid the $30 we had... we had no money for lunch! and i didn't have time to go somewhere far away for lunch... luckily with the coins and small change we had.. we still managed a decent meal =)
some experience... it truely shows the importance of liquidity!! haha...
and ty to yz who not only accompanied me to print the posters but even helped me collect and bring home 3 huge posters! *applaud* =p
