2007
was feeling bored and so i decided to go look for my 2006 new year resolutions made last year as i had absolute no memory of it already.
and to my surprise.. i didn't make any! at least not publicised on my blog anyway haha =p
looks like my memory aint that bad afterall.
as usual, and like everyone else, i do hope for a better and more fulfilling year ahead of me.
and looking back, 2006 has kind of forced me to grow up a bit, made me see the real world out there, and perhaps start learning how to survive on my own with adult problems. you really have to experience some things to learn to tackle them i guess.
on a sidenote, being a nostalgic person, i suddenly remembered how i was mugging o level ten year series at this time of the year too in 1999! similar to how i am fyp-ing at this time of the year. =( in fact, in all 6 years i never had to do school work in this festive season =(.
and that was 1999, everyone was so excited about the coming new millenium, and perhaps the "non-existent" millenium bug too. how time flies ah~
i also don't know why but i'm kinda full of nostalgic feelings recently. maybe age is catching up on me.. nearing quarter-life crisis liao ya know.. with all the job interviews to clinch, job search, the idea of leaving my comfort zone (ironically it's school =S), leaving all my friends and start surviving independently... i wish i'm still a little girl sometimes. life is so much easier when you are younger. You are happy with a lollipop, or a trip to Asia Village (i still remember my first attempt on the Viking =p). i think it's something to do with self expectations, as well as expectations of others around you. to be contented is something that we lose the older we grow up. yet at the end of the day (or the end of our lives perhaps), is it all the money we earn, all the accomplishments we have made that's important? or is it just simple happiness in life that's more worth living for?
and anyway,
a HAPPY NEW YEAR to all =D
* to satisfy the potential curiosity in me in a year's time, here's my 2007 resolutions
in no order of merit
1. get a happy job
2. learn to drive alone
3. graduate with good results
4. go on a graduation trip!
