children's clinic
i finally resumed my nvac (nus student union volunteer action committee) volunteering after a more than 6 months break from it. it was quite lucky that i managed to find interested friends to go with me... i wonder if i would go alone if i didn't manage to find any company... hmm...
went to children's clinic for a change and it was more fun as compared to the adult's or children's wards. i guess the children we play with at the clinic are healthier and hence much more playful... which can be tiring because it's sometimes hard to keep them still or hold their attention for long. but it's really so much easier to work with kids sometimes. there's no sense of awkwardness and they respond very well to any initiations made... hee.. i guess i just like the innocence of children =)
although it may not seem as meaningful to entertain children at hospital clinics than wards, but there's less heartache too.. it can get quite saddening to see critically ill children in wards. it's the thought that counts bah..
and i realise the reason why we enjoyed ourselves was because we are such big kids ourselves too... hee.. come to think of it, i've never volunteered with jia and yi b4, found them so cute today when i see how they play with the kids hehe...
