as an advocate of light bags, i pack my bag everyday and only bring necessary things when going out. so i used to not bring my umbrella unless the weather looks threatening, just so that my bag can be that little bit lighter....

well.. i curbed my bad habit after one embarassing episode when i arrived drenched for a first tuition session for a tuition that i had just clinched. very paiseh lor.. after that i really made it a point to bring my umbrella everyday, rain or shine.

anyway, this afternoon was a rainy day. although the rain stopped a bit after my tuition, i could hear thunder again while i was in JE library waiting for Veronica to arrive. knowing very well that she wouldn't use her umbrella even if she did have one, i decided to fetch her at the bus stop.

so i met her and as we reached the library, we met this pregnant lady who was umbrella-less. she asked if we could send her over to JEC with our umbrellas and without hesistation, i agreed.

after trying to do some research but in vain, we made our way to JE Mrt to go Popular and to meet up with the others... on the way back to JEC and while using the umbrellas to cross the road as it was still raining, i suddenly had this thought and was wondering aloud... would i have agreed so readily to provide my umbrella sheltering service should the lady not be pregnant? or if its a guy? hmmm....

and then, just ONE minute after i voice out my thinking, 2 teenage girls suddenly appeared in front of us at JEC there and asked to borrow our umbrellas to cross the road, yes.. the road we JUST crossed...

it's just so qiao lor.. i was momentarily stunned haha...

in the end i did help them cross the road. and i was thinking.. the next person i meet who wants me to shelter him/her somewhere with my umbrella i rather give my umbrella to them for free.. haha...

ok, that's the end of my little umbrella episode. maybe i'll have good karma soon after my good deeds? hehe..

on a completely irrelevant note, i'm so happy that chloe won the project runway season 2 =D. ok, i know i'm a bit slow cos many people i know already know the results beforehand.. but that's what made tonight's finals so exciting mah... anyway, she is the perfect example that effort and consistency pay off... of course she has talent too =)
