an unexpected dae
jus when i tot life's getting boring n todae will jus b like any other working dae.. it turned out to b pretty unexpected...
when i reached in the early morning, i was in the office slackin, cos no work to do hehz. i was slacking so much tat i was almost falling asleep in my seat liaoz. den suddenly i heard someone call me fr the backgrd so i turned back
n got a shock
it was the manager calling my name.. to some of u i may hav mentioned b4... so far having been attached there for 3 months, everyone in the office had tokked/smiled/greeted me b4.. all wif the exception of the manager (the biggest boss in my dept). i often wondered if he even realises my presence.
n he actualli called my name!
den he gestured me to go to his office.
funny but all of my sleepiness was jus gone in a poof. haha. i sat at his office wondering wat he wanted me for. end up he gave me this very urgent task needed to b done by todae. i'm supposed to do 10 crack maps. to describe simply, a crack map outlines all the damages on a part. i'm supposed to indicate all the damages on a piece of drawing n take a foto of each damage. sounds ez? haha.. i got do b4 but that time i was req to complete one in one dae. but 10 todae???
so i did.. n i did.. n i did.. haha.. din stop except for break n lunch. for which lunch i went out to eat in supervisor's car! yeah... supervisor mus b in good mood todae hehe..
so finally as 350pm was nearing i got more n more panic.. n the more panic i am the more mess i made =S print wrong stuff, camera got error msg, comp hang, keep getting blur pictures... if anything todae's assignment is training my photographic skills man. hav to take tiny damages at weird angles n make sure that light is not reflected by the part plus can onli hold the camera in one hand =S
in the end it was like 340pm n i finally acknowledged the fact tat i'll hav to miss the company bus n do OT. OT leh! for no $$ at all lorz =(
cell leader felt v paiseh (cos this is supposed to be his work). he offered to do for me but when i said nvm he tried to find ple to drive me home hehe.. hes quite nice la. when i was told abt my task by the manager this morning, the cell leader said "dun worry you3 wo3 zai4 (i'm here)" haha..
manager oso walked past n asked if i finished. when i said i havent.. he gave me this "oh no this is v urgent u still havent do finish" look.. n din offer to let me off work at all =S
i felt reli v paiseh at holding up their work... so i jus did n did forgoing all toilet breaks ignoring all my smses n finalli i finished at 5pm!
haa i ended up taking cab home. its another interesting experience. in my company employees r entitled to free cab rides after 5pm. of cos i;m not entitled to lar, but the cell leader wrote one voucher on my behalf haa
den my colleague helped me call for a taxi n when i went downstairs the taxi is there liaoz. all i had to do at the end of the ride was to hand the voucher to the driver! muahah.. nv in my life take cab feel so shuang one heh...
i even purposely make the driver go to the carpark area at my hse when usu when i take cabs i wld make the driver stop somewhere further n walk back myself.
haa tat sums up my unexpected dae. quite an exciting (n bz) dae despite one hr of unpaid OT.
