the interview
yest i got a very long (read: one month long) - awaited call.... finally man... its fr the company which i applied my IA (industrial attachment) for... i was half hoping they wld tell me due to time constraints i'm selected or sth... but no =S they wan me down for interview todae... when its jus 3 daes fr my first exam!! =X
so yar.. todae i went la... specially went down early k... reached the OUTside at 135pm when the interview was 2pm.... n i happily tot i was super punctual.... until i walk n walk n walk ard the company.... not exactly a round cos its simply too big. n i cant seem to find the entrance! after trying v hard on my own i suddenly realised its 150 liaoz... so bo bian i called the HR staff for help...
Me: "i'm outside already but i cant seem to find the way in"
HR: "where r u??"
Me: "here got a temple one.. den a gate which is grey n its closed..."
HR: "er.. all gates r grey"

HR: "oh i tink u r at the back gate!"
Me: "oh.. so how do i go to the front?"
HR: "eh... i oso duno... nv been there b4..."

anyway after a long while she managed to teach me the way.. n by the time i reached the main gate it was 2 liao....jia lat
reaching the guard hse at the gate.. i asked the guard how to go to the building i wanna go...
he said,"eh... there ah... v far leh... usu ple take car or taxi there one..."
sian diao~
but i was alreadi late wat to do.. so after the guard repeated the instructions 3 times (walk straight, turn left, walk till u see tis, walk again, turn left again, walk again blah blah) i was like rushing liao despite my heels hurting me =S still i got lost yet again la...is it me or the place?? =S
finally when i reached the required lobby alreadi 215pm lor
n i was covered in sweat...
luckily it wasnt my interview until 230pm apparently....
by that time i was so sian wif all the walking ard in the sun tat i jus wished to get the interview over n done wif...
but things din become better la...
in fact it turned out to b one of the toughest interviews i ever had
Qns they shoot:
~wat makes a team a good team?
~how do u apply the econs u learnt in jc to real life?
~wat do u tink a good mentor shld b like?
~wat technical proj hav u done b4?
*anyway i mentioned a certain crystal growing comp i participated in sec sch.. den they asked me to teach them how i grew the crystals n how if i were to repeat this now how i shld apply engin concepts to it... like HUH?*
~if i give u CuSO4 soln.. how u find the conc?
*like viva leh =X*
~wat hav i learnt outside scch
n etc etc... oso got the more normal qns like y i choose their company...y i chose chem engin n stuff
n they luv to rebut my answers when i alreadi cant tink of much answers in the first place....
sighz looks like this IA v hard to get liaoz
but its real experience ah... reli like job interview... n it finally over! phew~ =)
